Everything between paid and delivered

Fulfillment is what happens between a paid order and a delivered parcel: picking the products, packing them, labelling the box and handing it to a carrier.

In FaStart it all runs from one order list, so a busy morning of parcels stays one job, not twenty.

What fulfillment handles

  • Roadmap

    A list to pack from

Orders waiting to ship, grouped so you pick each product once.

  • Labels in a batch

Print every label for the day at once, with the carrier you chose.

  • Tracking for the customer

The tracking link goes out when the parcel leaves, in the customer's language.

  • Roadmap

    A slip in every box

A packing slip lists what's inside, with room for a gift note.

  • Split an order

Ship what's ready now and the rest when it arrives, each part with its own tracking.

  • Roadmap

    From the right location

An order ships from the location that holds its stock.

  • Local delivery and pickup

Deliver nearby yourself, or let customers collect from the shop.

  • Roadmap

    Returns back on the shelf

A returned item goes back into the count once you've checked it.

    Ally catches the forgotten

Parcels that left without tracking, or orders waiting too long, reach you as a question.

Roadmap

Nothing ships without a word.

Ally checks every parcel that left and asks before it writes to your customers.

Questions about fulfillment

What is a pick list?
A list of every product the day's orders need, grouped so you take each one off the shelf once. Orders and stock aren't open to merchants yet.
What's the difference between fulfillment and shipping?
Fulfillment is getting the order ready: picking, packing and labelling. Shipping is the carrier's part, from collection to the door.
Can I ship from more than one place?
Yes: each location keeps its own stock, and an order ships from the one that has it. Orders and stock aren't open to merchants yet.
Which carriers can I use?
The ones you connect on the shipping page, on your own carrier accounts. No carrier is connected yet.
Can customers collect from the shop?
Yes: they choose pickup at checkout, and you mark the order ready once it's packed. No carrier is connected yet.
What does it cost?
Fulfillment comes with every plan, from $39 a month, and higher plans connect more carriers.

Packed, labelled, on its way.

Every order, every day.
